Browns nearly traded for Jim Harbaugh

Per multiple league sources, the Cleveland Browns nearly pulled off a trade with the 49ers for the rights to coach Jim Harbaugh.

A deal that would have sent multiple draft picks to San Francisco was in place between the teams. But Harbaugh ultimately decided not to leave the 49ers.

I knew there was some tension between Harbaugh and Baalke but to go as far as trading him.....that's unbelievable.

All i have to say about all of this is WOW

But i'm glad Jim is still here (for now) & hopefully this tension between Jim & Trent doesn't get in the way of our play next season. I know those two butt heads a lot but man, the Browns? Really?

Hopefully this was just Jim trying to gain leverage in a contract extension. Losing Harbaugh would be huge. He IS the Niners in a way. He established the culture here. Baalke needs to chill out.

I believe that they talked, but I find it unlikely they got to a really advanced stage.

Most likely it was Harbaugh trying to gain leverage.
