Injured draftees

Post#1 » by radtech » Wed Apr 16, 2014 12:11 am

A list of possible draftees the Niners can rehab for a year.

Dominique Easley, a defensive end from Florida, with Aldon Smith's legal problems, another pass rusher is needed. He is still recovering from a torn ACL and could find his way onto the long term injury list. Eve injured may be drafted on the second day.

Brandon Thomas, combo guard tackle from Clemson, Iupati is due a hefty raise after the season. With Crabtree and Kaep also due raises, there will not be enough money to go around, Projected to be a late round pick but the Niners do have alot of picks.

Trey Millard, fullback from Oklahoma, when Bruce Miller went down the running game followed. The Niners had to resigned Will Tukuafu, and also lost Anthony Dixon to free agency.

Aaron Colvin, corner back from Oklahoma, a position of great need, getting a second round talent late in the draft.

I'd be ok with Easley as high as the 3rd. Doubt he slips that far though.

Thomas in the 4th or Colvin in the 5th would also be solid.

Don't see the need to spend a draft pick on Millard - FBs don't get drafted that high anyway, even healthy. I'd bet money we can pick him up as a UDFA if we want to take a look at him.
