2014 Preseason Game 2: Broncos @ 49ers, 8/17

Post#1 » by GS Warriors 1 » Fri Aug 15, 2014 10:37 pm

Thread for Sunday's game against the Broncos. Kickoff is at 1p PST/4p EST, broadcast locally on KPIX and nationally on NFL Network.

This will mark the first time they will be playing at their new home, Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. These 2 teams are playing each other in the regular season, week 7 @ Denver on Sunday Night Football.

Very interested in scope the new stadium.

Can only hope Gabbert doesnt throw up all over the field in this one. Really, Josh Johnson should get a look with the 2's this game. If Gabbert can't look remotely capable against the 3's, he needs to be released Monday morning.

Is Crab going to suit up? He just got back on the practice field.

Anybody know if Okoye is playing in this one? He looked pretty good last game before he got hurt. I havent really got a chance to see what his status currently is.

More Ellington on return duties please

Would love to see one of the CB's jump out and distance themselves from the rest of the group. Cook seemed to be on that trend last game.

Acker looked good.

We are hurting at backup QB.

I still wish we had drafted another safety to push Dahl off the roster. He is atrocious.

J. Martin and Gabbert look like wasted trades although I don't think the 49ers lose the pick if Martin doesn't make the team but still, he's a pretty bad tackle. Thought Looney looked better than last week. NT continues to be a weak spot, they really need Ian Williams in there. They could be saving him for opening day but I'd still like to see him get some run, hopefully next week. Secondary continues to be a question mark for me. I think Chris Borland is starting next to Willis week 1 @ Dallas. Lost in coverage at times but he's always around the ball. Dial continues to be impressive in this preseason.

Return to San Francisco 49ers
