I'm really holding out hope he can pull off a Gore/McGahee type comeback. The kid is special if he's healthy.

As much as I would like to see the Hollywood fairy tale ending, I just don't see it happening......hope I'm wrong but it doesn't look good.

My speculation is the team wants to stash him away on the NFI/PUP to open a roster spot.

We have a lot of young promising talent so it just makes more sense to push Lattimore to the PUP list because even if he were active with Gore, Hyde, and LMJ there wouldn't be enough touches to go around.

And if one of those guys does get injured they can activate him after 6 weeks and bring him on the roster than if he's needed.

He simply wasn't going to be counted on until 2015 when Gore, Hunter, and possibly LMJ are gone.

Hyde looks so good that anything out of Lattimore is a bonus.
