What happened with the criminal proceeding in this one? No charges? I wonder if this changes that - though I'd hope they'd access this video before making that call. I guess he could argue self-defense as she was coming at him, but damn. That's nothing close to reasonable force to protect himself.
I figured when we first heard about this one that there would be video from the elevator. If the league didn't see it, it's because they didn't want to.

What did people think happened? She fell and knocked her self out? I dont see how this really changes anything. The first video released a while ago showed Rice dragging her knocked out body. He obviously knocked her out.

Whoa whoa whoa......the Ravens wrote an essay about what a good guy he is and released a tweet with his wife apologizing for her part in the incident. The Ravens are only doing this because TMZ got the video out. They have no choice. This isn't a valiant or bold bold move on their part.
If TMZ can get this video he NFL and the Ravens could have. I'm calling bs on both of them.

I posted a conspiracy theory in joke earlier by saying that the NFL knew that they would get some sort of appeal or pushback by somebody if they had suspended him so long at the beginning. So they suspended for two games to get that reaction by the public in order to support their harsher penalties for less evidence. Now, they have that and they can go back and suspend him indefinitely. Now they can suspend for less and for longer. :tinfoil3:

This is what should've happened in the first place.
The first video showed him dragging her unconscious out of an elevator so you don't need Sherlock Holmes to tell you that he cold cocked her in the elevator.
It shouldn't have taken a video of the actual punch to cause this kind of response.

Else where in sports, the NCAA just lifted sanctions on Penn St. After their pedophile scandal... amazing that a school like USC gets the death penalty for a players parent accepting a few months of free rent, but a pedophile scandal gets punishment reduced in half... Couple this with today's Ray Rice news, and I'm pretty disgusted with the sports scene at the moment...

The NFL and the ravens look completely foolish in this whole mess even before the new video was released.
Now they are standing there with egg on there face. Quite disgusting how everything has been handled.
