I wonder who picks him up? Baltimore now that they've released Rice?

Maybe this is good news about Lattimore?

Guess LMJ is still unhappy with his use? Still wish we used him better. But Hyde is clearly better than him and makes him somewhat expendable.
Hopefully gore and Hyde can stay healthy. Who do we bring in? Do we have a RB on the practice squad?
Wish we still had Winston.

Thank god..
Did Winston get signed to a team or a practice squad?

Winston went to Cleveland IIRC...
I think we should be good at RB... now Tank can be activated for gameday!
Adios LMJ... shame it didn't work out... I felt his plays were just obvious gimmicks that didn't fool anybody...
actually his best game may have been vs the Falcons in the nfc gm

He is on the Browns' active 53 roster. So, no getting him back at this point.

It says LMJ asked for the release. Needs to be mutual though for 49ers to give him the release. Curious why he would want to be released at this point given Hunter being out. At least he got the ball in his hands a few times. If he would actually do something with the opportunities he'd get the ball more and get Frank Gore off the field on 3rd downs...
He's bummed not being a return specialist anymore, and frustrated about playing time. Guess what - don't let the door hit your ass on the way out LMJ. A better player can be activated now so adios.
Really wish that we could have a change of pace back though this year, but we don't need one who can't run away from people and goes down when defenders breathe on him.

Wow, the Browns are loaded at RB: Tate, West, Crowell and Winston.

Yep. Our coaching staff didn't do him any favors with extremely predictable playcalling when he was in (LMJ in, give him the ball outside, every time), but he's been useless as a RB the past two years. Too bad we lost Winston.

And re: Lattimore, he isn't available for the first six weeks, right?

Lattimore cant be taken off the PUP list early? It has to be 6 weeks?

I think with Ellington getting special team duties, he saw the writing on the wall. Can't blame him for wanting to go somewhere to play. I wasn't impressed with him as a runner. To small and easy to takle and not enough speed and/or elusiveness to get away from NFL defenders. Kendall Hunter when healthy is much better.

They can just sign a guy like Jewel Hampton or some other RB.
