Kaepernick's Random Penalty

As we know after one of Kap's INTs he was jawing with a Bears player. He was flagged for "inappropriate language"
I have never heard of this being a thing and was stunned when they called it, now Kap is being fined $11,000 for it and is appealing it.

If he did do this why would the ref not report what was said and why wouldn't the NFL release it somewhere? Or a PG13 version of it so we know what happened? According to Kaepernick, the player said he didn't say anything to warrant a penalty. The ref only said "He knows what he said." The league also didn't put what he said in the letter that was sent to him from the league.

So what the hell is actually going on here? Anyone have other articles or anything?

Unless he was warned beforehand I don't think you throw the flag in that situation and it was the epitome of the entire night of flags for ticky tack crap.

It's such a stupid rule in the first place. Whatever it is - it's a frikin' word and these guys are playing football. Plus, there's always a chance that someone misinterprets or misunderstands a word.

Just ridiculous all around.

The dumbest thing about it is the fact he was fine MORE that Antonio Brown for kicking the browns player in the face... Tell me the NFL isn't f***ed up. Try it

I don't think either player should have been fined, so I don't see one as worse than the other. Are you implying you agree with the Brown fine, or think it was intentional (or at the very least a negligent thing to do)?

it was clearly intentional by Brown. No doubt about it. You can clearly see him kick the guy in the facemask. My point is, if Kap said a "bad" word, it should be no where near the same fine as kicking a guy in the face mask.

I'd venture to say that word is said about 387 times during the course of each game. Is the NFL really that **** stupid?
