BRONCOS GAME REFELECTIONS

Obviously not much to cheer about, I cant say I was totally surprised by the outcome, given our many injuries and with Denver a tough place to play...But nonetheless some positives stood out as well...Aaron Lynch recorded his first sack and got in a coulple pressures as well....Bruce Ellington caught 3 passes for 45 yards and a touchdown. He he should've caught at least one more had Kap thrown to him for the first down, instead of forcing it to Stevie Johnson and getting picked....Stevie looked good again and had another score. Niners really struck it well with the trade for him last May....Kap had a decent outing, including the nice long drive which ended with the TD to Stevie.....Now the negatives:
1. Tramaine Brock definitely looked like he hadn't played in a few weeks - Manning went after him early and often.
2. The OL gave up 5 or maybe 6 sacks and just got beat all night, in the passing and running games. Mike Iupati's absence was felt, at least in the running game.
3. Vernon dropped a pass thrown right to him, not sure he's back to where he needs to be either.
4. Kilgore injury. He has been the one constant positive for us on that OL...Thankfully Marcus Martin is back and the team is really excited about him.
All in all, 4-3 heading into the bye is not the worst thing in the world. Would've been nicer to be 5-2 but we blew that Bears game...The bye comes at a great time and our players are going to start coming back real soon. The second half schedule is favorable aside from 2 or 3 games. I look for his team to be right there in the end again.
