On Seattle sports radio and basically said kaepernick was not a leader and was responsible for not getting Davis and Crabtree the ball.

Re: My usual rant about John Clayton
Gotta say, Russell isn't exactly leading that Seattle team to unparalleled greatness these days...
Kap has some shortcomings as a leader, but he's better than he gets credit for on the national stage. And both Crabtree and Davis have been shaky lately, with some sloppy route-running and a load of drops. Crabtree has some cause to be frustrated, seeing a bunch of uncatchable "targets," but he's not performing when he has the chance. That's not on Kap. That said, gotta get these guys more involved.

What a load of crap. He is just sucking up to Seattle media. They don't like kaepernick up there and he is just throwing them red meat. I don't think Davis is fully over his back injury/ Not sure what is up with Crabtree. He seems to rarely get separation from corners this year.

Crabtree n Davis have both underperformed n that's on them....
However if they are not the first read kap won't throw it to. Kap has slightly abandoned scanning the field this yr(started last ur)... So I can see that as kaps contribution to their poor play.

Clayton's national stuff is ok, his local Seattle stuff is all Seahawk hand jobbing, which sometimes takes the form of slamming my 49ers

Re: My usual rant about John Clayton
I can't speak for him as a leader because I'm not in the locker room and I'm not on the field but I do know I've never really heard any rumblings of players griping about and he always sticks ups for his guys and never throws anyone under the bus. Not to mention he's one of the hardest working guys on the team and that always counts for something in terms of leadership. So maybe he doesn't ooze that leadership charisma like a Montana and it's the most vocal of guys but I don't really buy that he's not a leader.
As far as Crabtree and Davis goes that's just a load of crap from Clayton. Davis has been sleep walking most of this season and Crabtree hasn't exactly made the most of his chances.
Also Kap not forcing the ball to Crabtree and Davis is exactly what we want from him. Crabtree and Davis are getting the attention from defenses and Kap is hitting the guys like Boldin and Johnson because they are in favorable matchups and have delivered when the ball has come there way.
If you look at the stats the target spread among the receiving corp is actually quite good when you factor in that amount of snaps guys have had.
