The kid is a headcase and also not a burner. He could turn into a Boldin type of WR but thats a big if imo

He's 6'5" with an 80" wing span. He runs a high 4.4 to low 4.5. At that height that's plenty fast. His head is a question. But I would take a chance in him.

I don't get why they list him at 6'5" when he measured 6'3 1/8" at his Pro Day.

They're looking at his CFL profile.

Jason La Canfora:

Duron Carter had his 1st NFL visit today, in Tampa. Also scheduled to visit MIN, KC, and IND on tis first leg. Son of HOF WR Cris Carter

If Duron Carter does not sign with someone this week, a second leg of visits could include BAL, SEA, SF and AZ. Lot of NFL interest in him

I would expect the Colts, as I reported back in Nov., to be particularly aggressive in trying to sign Carter

They don't have any WRs there. They easily have the worst WR core in the NFL. Dwayne Bowe is a #2 on most other teams and he's their best one. Donnie Avery is a #3 or 4 on most teams and he's their second best. Then you have Hammond, AJ Jenkins, Hemmingway and a bunch of other guys that no one has ever heard of.

Patriots wr Corp is pretty bad as well. Even tho Chiefs wrs are that bad you'd think one of them would have got lucky and scored at least 1 td.

If there's one thing that we know about Alex, it's that he isn't going to rely on guys getting lucky, he's too safe for that. He's going to throw to Kelce, Charles or Fasno because he's confident in them. I don't blame him.

Duron Carter's workout with Vikings set for Friday

Carter has since drawn interest from several NFL teams. According to his father, Duron worked out for the Colts and Chiefs this week and has visits scheduled with the 49ers and Browns next week.

Duron Carter says Vikings are top choice

But at the moment, Carter said, the Vikings and Indianapolis Colts are the front-runners for his services.

Colts seem a somewhat odd choice as they've got decent depth at WR. Though I guess they might move on from Wayne.

I've thought for a while that Vikings would be the choice. If Carter lives up to potential then that gives Bridgewater two young talented recievers to throw to on the outside in Johnson and Carter, along with Roudolph, he might be sitting pretty.

This also could mean that Patterson becomes available, I would be totally game on seeing if we can't get him going.

Not sure Wayne has many years left and Nicks won't be with the team long term. Really it all depends on the development of Moncrief and whether not he's ready to be that #2 guy anytime soon.

It's been said by some "insiders" that Cris Carter, his dad, has been favoring the Colts because of the structure of that organization and is comfortable with the player accountability aspect and how they do things there. Plus you have to think that he sees having Luck as his QB as a very good thing early on for his development. Grigson, their GM, also spent time in the CFL and some other insiders see that as something that could help their chances, though I personally don't see exactly how that would help their chances as of right now.
