Interesting article on vernon davis and the effect on the offense. Seems he has been hampered by injuries that dont make it to the injury report.

Yea something is definitely wrong. He is not 100%. Sucks. VD is our only deep threat on offense.

They keep trying to run these WRs deep, maybe because they feel it suits Kaepernick better but it isn't working. These WRs just aren't beating anyone deep.

Yep, bad idea. Boldin is the best of the bunch, but none of them is fast or a true No. 1 wideout. They are all solid possession receivers. Before the season began, I wanted the team to extend Crabtree but not anymore. He can walk and take his overpriced demands elsewhere. At this point, I'd rather the team keep Iupati instead, ONLY if the price is right. But if they keep him, they can say say long to Boone after next season. And I kinda like Boone more, he is more versatile and should be cheaper....But back to the wideouts, definitely need to go get a No. 1 in the offseason. We should have a higher draft pick this year, so no reason not to.

The 49ers have zero home run threats. They lack big plays. Kaep was able to improvise in the past, but it isn't happening anymore. When is the last time a guy broke one? I stopped watching a few weeks ago, so maybe something has happened since then, but aside from a blown coverage vs dallas on that Gore TD catch, have we had any big plays this year?

The Brandon Lloyd 80 yard TD pass on Monday Night vs Rams.

Crabtree's anomaly TD few weeks back when he split the D and somehow managed to out run everyone
