NOT SURE IT WAS ABOUT MONEY

I am not that sure that the reason the Niners and Harbaugh couldn't ever agree to a contract extension was money. If you recall, Harbaugh turned down the Dolphins offer of over $7 million in 2011 to come to SF for $5 million. I know the Broncos and Michigan were also in play at the time as well. Something else was obviously a factor, perhaps personnel say? It has been documented that York on multiple occasions has offered Harbaugh an extension and was turned down.

Whatever it is, they need to get it done. Harbaugh's track record is just too good, and I do NOT want to go back to the Nolan/Singletary years. Management of this team is becoming a serious worry if they cannot see this. I would let Balke go way before Harbs.

The only thing recently that makes me rethink Harbaugh is the performance of the offense over the last couple of years, He pushed for Kaepernick yet hasn't been able develop him despite his reputation as a quarterback whisperer, and if it falls on Roman his refusal to hold Roman accountable is concerning.

It has been reported all along that it is personality conflicts. Either York and or Baalke. York keeps Baalke over Harbs. This is old news. Everyone is reporting zero percent chance Harbs stays. It is time to move on.

Bad management then, UNLESS they have a better replacement. That will be interesting. Overall, I think this is a huge mistake, huge.

Harbaugh has been known to wear out his welcome wherever he goes, it was the case in San Diego and Stanford. It takes two to tango.

I agree he did, but from all the stuff I read his previous employers were glad when he left.

I still say it comes down to Roman, Baalke wants Roman gone as he is not a NFL quality OC but Harbs is protecting Roman. IIRC Roman was only the run game coordinator at Stanford, he did not run the passing game and has been inept at it. Baalke wants an OC that can use all of he pieces the Niners have but that is not going to happen under Harbs unless Roman gets a HC job like Harbs was pushing for the 1st two years.

How unbearable is it being in Seattle these days? I could only imagine judging by how obnoxious some of them have become over at the other site.

It is god awful, over the top band wagon fans when before 2012 most of this city did not give a **** about the seahawks. Now, of course, the Seahawks are the greatest team with the great QB, greatest RB, greatest CB, greatest safety, etc. I never had a problem with the hawks before 202 but now I wish them only the worst because of their fan base.

Some of their homers now think Wilson is a top 5 QB, LOL

I would keep Harbaugh if he was willing to overhaul the offensive staff. I think he's a good head coach, but it's clear that Roman has to go. If it wasn't before today - and I think it was blatantly obvious - this game just seals it. A 21-point lead at the half, and the only time we even sniff points in the second half was on a 90-yard busted play. He's simply outmatched, and it's been going on all year. Can't have it. If Harbaugh is too loyal to see it, then he's got to go, too, IMO. A HC has to be dispassionate about these decisions.
And frankly, the fact that Roman still has a job is not a good sign IMO. He should have been fired after week ten. A half-trained monkey with Madden could call a better second half than Roman.

It's a damn Shame nobody hired roman all these years. I agree if harbaugh can't accept a change then he needs to move. Grass isn't always greener on the other side.
