I can understand doing it that way, but there is a slippery-slope aspect to that. As pass-happy as many offenses have become, perhaps we should have a third CB. For that matter, we should get rid of the FB position and go with either a third WR or a second TE. If Mayhew really wants to cry about something, it should be blocking FBs getting absolutely no credit in pro bowl voting. The fact that Bruce Miller has never made a pro bowl that dedicates a spot to the FB position is a complete joke IMO.
But then, the entire pro bowl is a joke, so who really cares? The only sad thing is that it actually factors into HOF honors.
