Niners hire Tarver

Rumors were true about the San Francisco 49ers hiring Jason Tarver away from the Oakland Raiders. However, instead of being the defensive coordinator, he will be a senior assistant and linebackers coach. That also means that Jim Tomsula has someone else in mind for the coordinator spot.

Good hire at that spot. He's a young, smart coach who should be able to contribute. Could be a guy who is groomed for another DC shot in a few years.

Yeah, I noticed some people bashing the guy because he coached the Raiders. Since he's not a defensive coordinator, a lot of those criticism should die down.
