Bruce Miller Charged With Misdemeanor Vandalism

Post#1 » by Pattersonca65 » Tue May 5, 2015 12:00 am

The DA did not charge Miller with Domestic Violence. Instead, the DA charged him with misdemeanor vandalism for throwing his wife's phone against a wall, lol.

I am surprised the DA would even bother with that charge.

I'm surprised smashing someone's phone has a max of one year in jail. Very unlikely I know but still...wow.

LOL. California has released thousands of nonviolent criminals due to prison overcrowding. The state does not have the room to hold people who commit these types of offenses. The DA will probably just put him on probation and fine him. The DA is not going to want to waste resources on such an offense. He should probably had just let it go.

You would think the max would be probation and a fine that in reality just goes down to a fine for an offense like this.

The max wouldn't be probation for a vandalism offense. In this case, I would think it would appropriate and probably shouldn't even go that far. Vandalism also covers things like Graffiti and when taggers get caught spraying up a neighborhood they should not get off that easily.
