Maybe it's Boone's time to shine at RT? This is madness.

Would have been nice if he would have announced this before the draft.

Can next off season start already? Boone will play great at RT and want even more money now.

4 and 12 never looked so good. We need a new franchise player.

Maybe this is a good thing? He's been playing kind of crappy and was always one of the dumber players on the team. This gets us out of his big contract right? Do we owe him anything then?

the last few years I didn't follow college at all, didn't care about the draft as much cause we were winning. if our season is crap I'll find the fuel to follow college.

I'm not to knowledgeable on our remaining back ups, who is most likely to replace him?

This is crazy. Has there ever been an offseason like this in the history of professional sports? Where one franchise loses three players in their primes to early retirement? Has any other team lost a player in this way this offseason? I know a couple FAs called it quits.

In some ways, Tomsula is the luckiest guy in the building. Any expectations for this season have just been crushed. I'm not sure what we do here. I guess the obvious answer is to kick Boone over to RT, and then have Kilgore, M. Martin, Thomas, and Pears duke it out at the three interior spots. Or maybe Trent Brown becomes a surprise starter?

Apparently he tweeted he'll be back in a year or two. Odd.

My guess it will be Staley, Thomas, M.Martin, Kilgore, and Boone with Pears being the backup to the guards and Brown or somebody else possibly being the swing tackle.

Of course Trent Brown is probably in a really good mood with that news because his odds of making the roster just shot up.
