2 less TEs. A 5th round pick is a nice pickup for an udfa.

That gives the 9ers 3 5th rd picks next season so far

It's a conditional pick though so it'll depend on his playing time.

Still getting something for a guy you might wind up cutting is a good move.

Damn that's dope. If we can package them all for 1 third round pick, that would be awesome.
Carrier was an underrated player and having two less TEs now puts us in a much better situation IMO to
give someone playing another position a better chance of making the 53.

I'll have to check but I think it is a 2017 pick. Regardless, we would have had to waive a tight end by the end of camp which would have netted us nothing so something is better than nothing

This is Baalke we're talking about so he'll make each pick with one being for a guy with a torn ACL, kicker to replace Dawson, and a position that there is already too much depth on.

Nooooooo!!!!

I was the driver of the Carrier bandwagon last season and had such high hopes of him becoming the #2 TE, developing a bit more, and eventually taking over for VD after next season.

I have no confidence in weak ass Vance McDouche-ald, so the rookies better nut the f*** up and become All Pros, or I'm going to be extra effing pissed because I truly believe Carrier can/will turn into something great.

Not surprised we made a trade. A little surprised it was carrier. Was hoping it was Vamce.

The pick is for 2017 btw.

The team is projected to have 12 picks in 2016 already when you factor in the comp picks so Baalke is in full on 2017 mode when it comes to grabbing picks.

Any way we can trade Baalke?

I'll settle for a ham sandwich at this point.
