He extended Williams, probably the one guy we really should have extended. We extended Celek on a reasonable deal and he may start for us. Hell, we even brought back Dawson. Boone is literally the only guy we lost, and given his age and recent play, he was far from a must-sign. He had one very strong year, but otherwise has been only okay, really.
Don't get me wrong, we have A LOT of ground to make up on Seattle, but they've almost certainly gotten worse during FA.
Remember, your own players don't count. Or, if I actually have to be fair, it doesn't feel nearly as good to some people when your team is in a crappy situation and the additions are your own former players.
Another statement that is true IMO that doesn't get a lot of run but should? Not doing anything and trying to do something and swinging out are two different things. Both don't feel good to fans but are two completely different things and in the 49ers situation right now one is far more likely to be going on than the other, IMO.
