Tank and Lemonier

Looks like the stock of Tank and Lemonier might be falling. Didn't expect much from Lemonier, but what a disappointment from Tank Carradine.

It appears Dontae is in the doghouse for some reason. I can't believe he's not getting more snaps.

Appears alot of people have been questioning what is going on with him.

I cant hold DJ at fault considering its Mangini's secondary now... its like a virus, affecting all the DBs across the board...

Tank, that's a disappointing #.... you'd think NOW he would start showing some flash. Whats up with your boy Bingo?

Maybe we should use him as a OLB in pass situations or something?

Tank's had a couple of red flags from day 1.....injured knee, and then he had issues picking up the defense. I think all the folks talking him up really raised expectations on this board.

Another example of hobby GMs that failed us.....

;)

I didn't even notice him playing last night at all.

I know man, you would expect more from Carradine being a 2nd round pick. All he is a situational pass rusher and a mediocre one at best.

Supposedly he was at least a mid 1st round talent before the injury. He is the invisible man. He is supposed to be able to rush the passer but I never see him doing much of anything. The clock is ticking with him. The 2013 draft is not looking so good right now.

TJE at OLB is a disaster. I agree let Tank rush on passing downs from OLB, try something new.

Thus far the only two sure players are Reid and Dial. Would love to see McDonald and Patton contribute more.

I was thinking the same thing. I'd much rather see Dontae in there than Ward and Acker, honestly.

I think Acker is progressing as well as can be expected considering we have very little or no pass rush. And I think Ward has played well the last 2 games.

Cool story.

I'd still rather see Dontae Johnson in there instead.

Where are people getting that Tank isn't providing a pass rush? I didn't notice him against the VaGiants, but he was providing a really good pass rush when he was in there the first 4 games.

And people realize that a DE in Mangini's system isn't going to get a ton of sacks right? (alhtough Tank has 1 for the year so far).

lol I think part of the reason you didn't notice him vs the giants was his lack of playing time, appears, in that game lol...

I saw him in the sideline a lot when the likes of TJE was used in those passing situations....

Speculation that the team may release Tank unless they can trade for him, since they'll need to free up roster spots when Kilgore or Simpson is available:

I know you're just referencing what Ryan Sakamoto is saying, but releasing Tank doesn't make any sense to me at all. At. All. I think the roster moves necessary to make room for Kilgore and Simpson are both no brainers:

(Because Ellington is SF's KR specialist) Release / demote DeAndrew White to the PS to make room for Simpson
and
(Because SF just traded for ILB Hodges) Release / demote Shayne Skov to the PS to make room for Kilgore.

But if one of the above options simply doesn't cut the mustard because Baalke and Tomsula deem getting rid of a DE is an absolute necessity, getting rid of TJE instead of Tank should be the easy choice unless an AFC GM is calling Baalke every 3 days offering draft picks or a decent prospect for Tank (highly doubtful). TJE probably plays with more heart than Tank, but he's obviously the Craig Dahl of the d-line.

I'm disappointed in Tank but I would be very pissed if we release our 2nd rd pick at DL this early...

demote White...

No way Baalke trades or releases Tank...as if he hasnt failed enough already. Plus it too early i think.

We can easily cut TJE or purcell before Tank.
