Erickson, Nolan, Singletary, Harbaugh, Tomsula. And Harbaugh was too obvious, so what makes us think they'll do better this time around?

Impressive. Should be able to pick from the cream of the crop next time around, kinda like last time around. Jed, don't you really want to spend more time with your family?

To be fair, Erickson was recruited by Bill Walsh. Terry Donahue was Walsh's hand picked successor. Both Bill Walsh and Terry Donahue interviewed HCs then and Walsh felt Erickson was the guy. I can't imagine anyone that isn't a football person is going to question Bill Walsh. While Nolan ultimately did fail, he brought in Scott M and started the cleanup and rebuilding process. Singletary was bad and Tomsula was an epic fail. That is completely on York.
