I have to say, I'm just about done with this team, and it's the ownership, I thought Jed would be an improvement over John nitpicking expenses etc, but this is terrible.

Re: Thanks Jed
The leaker has been announced. It is the guy who has been making all the moves including getting rid of Harbaugh, hiring Baalke and Tomsula thanks to his money ball math. It is Paraag Marathe. reports are he feels he is untouchable because he is friends with Jed. Jed needs to fire him right now. He is the president of the organization and he is making it into a losing mockery of a franchise. Using his computer to make draft picks, pick up free agents, and hire coaches.

Thanks for posting. I don't know who these people are or how accurate any of that is. I never liked Marathe anyway. Seems like an arrogant guy. He has been involved in football related matters way more than he should be. If I took over the team, one of the first things I would do is remove him from any football related operations. Let him crunch cap nimbers, work on stadium and team related business. But he should have no part in the hiring process of any of the coaches or in personnel decisions. Marathe is starting to remind me of Robert Rowell,
Speaking of the Warriors, I was watching them blow away Memphis on TV last night and got me thinking of Jed's comments about the Warrior coaching change and the parallel to the Tomsula hiring. Looking back at those comments, man does he look like an idiot right now.

Re: Thanks Jed
I forgot all about Singletary's comment about smelling a rat. At the time I think I brushed it off since he was a bad HC, but the fact that even harbaugh got the same treatment speaks volumes. This is just who they are, they are bringing that calculated corporate backstabber mentality to this team.

Re: Thanks Jed
I thought Paraag had more involvement in areas that he shouldn't have... Baalke and York gets most of the attention but I feel Paraag is in there somehow but to be the actual leak, well this is our culture then...
disgusting if true. Makes sense, tomsula, chryst, mangini etc.... cheap ass labor for cheap products

Re: Thanks Jed
Serious question here:
Since Jed said to hold him accountable, has there ever been a time in NFL history where the fans have done something to force the owner to sell the team or change the organizational structure? I'm already doing my part by refusing to buy any more 49er gear while Jed is at the head of the ship, but are there other measures we can take as a whole?

Don'y know whether that happened in NFL history. But it would not be easy. An unorganized bunch of fans complaining on the internet or a few ani York blogs are not going to do it. There would have to be some sort of strong organized opposition. If the fans got together and gave up their season tickets which I think would mean eating the PSL cost. I think the pressure would need to come from more than just the fans. Having ex 49er players like Rice, Craig, Steve Young coming out against the FO along with local officials. The pressure should come down on John and Denise York. Maybe if the heat is turned up against her, she will pressure her son to make changes. Fire Baalke and Marathe. Promote Gambel.

Re: Thanks Jed
Thanks Jed.
I'm almost at the point where I would rather see the team get demolished every week so you can get torn to shreds by fans and the media than see the team win.
That's my only hope is that Jed will get so tired of being embarrassed and people calling him an idiot that he'll get fed up enough that he'll wipe the board clean, bring in an actual smart football guy to run things, and step away like all owners should do.

Re: Thanks Jed
I wish people could get organized enough to just stop supporting the team with Jed in command. If they started losing money hand over foot he would be forced out pretty damned quick.

You would never get enough people to organize to a level where they would lose money. They rake a good chunk of their money from the TV deals and merchandising.
The only realistic hope I can see is just embarrassing him to the point where they want to sell or he'll have no choice but to keep making moves until the team is good. People booing at the games especially nationally televised ones, trolling his twitter account (within reason), and the media hounding him nonstop are all ways to keep the pressure up.
Right now he's taking an absolute pounding from everywhere from fans, local media, and national media so there is no way he hasn't notice and there is no way he can be happy about it which is what is needed.

Re: Thanks Jed
Do they lose money if TV gives them minimal coverage, or do all teams get the same regardless? The way they are now, they are not going to get any prime time games next year. Does it matter to the bottom line?

Not an NFL financial expert, but I think with Revenue Sharing and how much the NFL makes overall, it is pretty darn hard for a franchise to lose money in the NFL.

Re: Thanks Jed
If jed won't resign, and it's next to impossible to hurt him financially, then fans who do attend games need to figure out a way to organize a jed york humiliation campaign at every game to show him his ego is not appreciated. Weveryone who dresses up should incorporate jed insults some how, everyone with a sign should focus on jed, the chants should all be jed related etc.
