Wow. Did the defense stay in Santa Clara? 209 yards rushing by Thomas Rawls??....Misses tackles all over...HORRIBLE....On the flip side, another impressive performance by Gabbert and finally Vance McDonald!! 4 rec 65 yards 1 TD. Happy for Vance!

Arrgggghhh. I'll give props to Blaine Gabbert for a couple of nice drives and made some nice plays. Some bad decisions on third down. But overall, pretty good for a second start at such a difficult place to play. Same with Draughn. He had a nice game. Fck Pears. How much longer is this guy going to start? Let Avril run right past him for two critical sacks. Start Brown already. And the worst belongs to the defense. They let that marginal Seattle offense look like the Steelers today. Rawls is a nice young back but they made him look like Barry Sanders today. The dline got no push against that horrible oline. There were holes big enough for a Greyhound Bus to get through and horrible tackling. That is what pissed me off the most. Done venting.

As someone else said, they have the whole punting down two scores but calling timeouts late in the game down pat

That kills me. I was ranting about that a few weeks ago. Either try to win or don't, but don't drag out the frickin' game if you aren't playing to win.

Really frustrating game. I don't think Seattle is nearly the team this year that they have been the past couple. They still have the talent to be very good, but they're clearly off their game. And they still absolutely dominated us. We needed the D to step up, and they just downright collapsed. Extremely disappointing. Tomsula was dealt a tough hand, but he's got to go. No excuse for how lackadaisical the team was in the first half.

What is there to say? Coming off a bye, this is the best we can do?

Theres no need to spell what our team/product is now come gameday

Interesting the Seaturkeys have a backup rb who is setting all kinds of records. Meanwhile, our backup rbs look like some jc transfer they found panhandling downtown. That, and we do not seem to be getting anything out of all the d-linemen we have drafted with the possible exception of the rookie. Is the talent that bad on this team or does it just look that way due to poor coaching?

Sure, because Rawls had holes you could drive a 747 airplane through and when you add the poor tackling. You watch other teams play against Seattle (good ones anyway) and they are blowing through that garbage Seattle oline and getting to the RB at the line of scrimmage or behind it. Right now both our first string and second string RBs are out (Hyde and Davis) and we are playing guys off the waiver wire. I actually liked how Draughn played yesterday. But our defense played like crap yesterday. Played below the talent level. While you can say some of that falls on the players, it also falls on the coaching staff for not having them prepared to play. The 49ers have been pretty good at stopping the run this year but against Seattle they just fall apart.

now now, that's not fair. its not our players fault that 31 other NFL teams have opportunities to go up against a Tomsula coached team.
