Game Week Thread: Arizona Cardinals vs San Francisco 49ers
Players need to be held accountable after last week's weak effort.
No more Acker, Wilhoite, and Pears please.

Nothing is going to change.... Pears will be the RT starter, Whilhoite most likely....
How has Hodges been doing? has anyone been eyeing him as of late?

I completely forgot we traded for Hodges. He only has 4 tackles, but with whilhotes struggling to tackle maybe he should get some more playing time.

No more Acker? The guy's basically a rookie. Are we really ready to cast him off so soon?

The niners have other young CBs that look far better than Acker in Marcus Cromartie, Keith Reaser, and Dontae Johnson

Dontae must be in the doghouse. I can't believe we don't use him more.

Acker is starting Sunday. I wonder if it's kind of like how Devey started against the Falcons and only played 9 snaps.

Anthony Davis called out Joe Staley after getting knocked around by Kam last week.
Coaches are feeling optimistic about this one. Just as they were against the Vikings and Falcons. (IMO)

Acker has played pretty well this season but has struggled at times. Not unusual for a rookie CB. How do we know Cromartie and Reaser have looked far better? Reaser has played sporadically as a nick back and then got hurt. Cromartie has only played a game and a half.

He's played atrocious this year. He's bailing on easy routes, he's giving up a long pass play each and every game he starts in seemingly. A pattern this year is when Cromartie, Reaser, or Johnson are on the field and the defense looks much more secure in the secondary, which is likely the reason why Acker's starting job is being challenged by a practice squadder.

Re: Game Week Thread: Arizona Cardinals vs San Francisco 49ers
What is considered success in this game? Removing the two pick sixes and having the score 33 to 7? Removing one touchdown from them and adding one to ours to make it 40 to 14? 33-21? What is a respectable score where you feel like we competed, kept the goal of the best draft pick, but is also reasonable

30-13 seems about right.

30-21 Cardinals W
I think Shaun Draughn breaks out for 150 total yards this game.

I don't think he's played bad at all. Like other rookie CBs, he struggled at times. He has struggled covering some top flight WRs. Those three CB's played how often together? They played well in Atlanta but we are finding out that Atlanta's offense has just been bad the past few games.
