Boone Slight MCL tear - Out For Season

Boone's injury does not appear too serious, but he will be out for the season. Maybe Tomsula is going to rotate Martin and Devey at LG. :banghead:

I am Silberman is going to get the start at left guard from what reports were yesterday. He is a big bulldozer, but is used to playing right tackle and not so good in pass protection..

That is fine if the goal is tanking, which I'm guessing it isn't.

So this may be the end of Boone's tenure with the 49ers.

Contract disputes so he's not participated in the team's offseason program for the last two years.

Maiocco says there was no contract extension talk during the season and once 49ers players hit free agency, the team has let them go.

So a lot of cap room and the OL being a weakness, what are they planning to do?

Get the quarterback killed? Letting Boone walk would not be bad if there were good options on the team to replace him, but we haven't seen much from the new guys except for Tiller
