Keith Reaser and Chris Davis are on the 53 man roster for sure. Will Redmond to the PS. I THINK I saw Dontae Johnson playing safety for a moment, so a possible justification of carrying 5 CBs and 4 Ss.

Unfortunately, I think we have to trade/release Bruce Miller. Blake Bell with all his upside at TE is way too much to just let slip away for a vet at a completely new position.

Mike "Future Starter" Davis. I know the fanbase is all over Hyde, but he's done little to warrant the job security.

Bryce Treggs was off, but fully expect him to make the roster over Smelter (And I'm a big fan of Smelter's).

This isn't a thread about who's starting, it's a thread about who's making the roster. Right now, Hyde is a lock - Davis isn't.

And we're not trading Miller. He's worth more to us than other teams, and he's more of an H-Back than TE. Completely different player than Bell.

18+18= 36... 53-36= 17 :)

Throw in Pinion(lol), Dawson and Nelson as STs (3) thats 14 left to play

My guesstimate:
1. Whilhoite ILB - imagine that's a lock TBH
2. Marcus Martin C/G - close to being a lock since Kilgore may not be reliable health wise
3. Mike Davis RB - don't figure he'll be let go just yet especially looking much faster.
4. Dajuan Harris RB - maybe someone to hold on to?
5. Gerald Hodges ILB - Got to think he stays on?
6. Reaser CB - Secondary depth
7. Davis or Acker CB - Secondary Depth
8. Rashard Robinson CB - Secondary Depth
9. White WR - WR Depth
10. Breggs or Dres WR - WR Depth
11. TJE DE - Damn i couldn't figure why DL was so weak in depth...
12. Harold LB - Obvious

2 spots left....

3. Mike Davis RB - don't figure he'll be let go just yet especially looking much faster. Agree
4. Dajuan Harris RB - maybe someone to hold on to? Between him and taylor I think
5. Gerald Hodges ILB - Got to think he stays on? Agree
6. Reaser CB - Secondary depth Agree having a good camp
7. Davis or Acker CB - Secondary Depth They seem to like Davis in the slot. Acker cut
8. Rashard Robinson CB - Secondary Depth Agree
9. White WR - WR Depth Agree
10. Breggs or Dres WR - WR Depth Practice squad both
11. TJE DE - Damn i couldn't figure why DL was so weak in depth... Agree
12. Harold LB - Obvious Agree

2 spots left....

A few notes:

Driskel or Thad will probably make this team as chip always keeps 3 qbs.

Blake bell might make this team instead of one of the fringe WRs.

Cromartie will make this team, I like Mccray too just not sure if there is room?

Bellore looked good last night. Keep an eye on him especially special teams.

I'm not sold that Miller is guaranteed a spot. He doesn't have a clear position in this offense. And while none of our TEs are great, the other three have shown some real promise in areas where Miller is limited. Miller will probably have to beat out a guy like Bellore to win a roster spot as a STs player.

He has a completely separate role than the other TEs, though, as more of an H-back. He's also a better STs player than all of them.

I agree it's a completely separate role. The problem is, it's a role that Chip Kelly has never really used before. The STs stuff helps a bit, but on that front he's up against the ILBs and DBs more than the other TEs.

You really see them keeping what would be an unproven, #3 TE over Bruce Miller? I don't see that happening.

I could definitely see them keeping Blake Bell, who has loads of potential particularly in the red zone, over Miller, yes. I'm not saying Miller is out, I just don't think he's a lock at this point.

I agree with most of those I have no doubt Bruce Miller will make the team.

Qb Driskel makes the team with Thad Lewis down with an ACL
RB: Mike Davis Makes the team I think the Niners go with 3 Because Miller gives you one more player that can play in the backfield in a pinch.
TE I think Cajuste might just stick around...
WR: Deandre Campbell and maybe White stick around.. Especially with Smelter having lingering issue problems.
Offensive Line: Fahn and Maybe Cooper stick around or one hits the practice squad.
C: Martin Definately sticks around Kilgore is shaky on health
DL: Tony Jerrod Eddie makes the team... again
LB: Add Gerald Hodges, Bellore
CB: Rashard and Cromrartie both stick around

Thats 13 Add Pinion, Dawson, and Nelson thats 16...

I think Treggs, Prince Iworah and Balducci end up on the practice squad. Acker and Reaser might Beat out Robinson and Cromartie but I In My Opinion Robinson has way more upside than either one of them and Cromartie has the versatilty to play some safety. Ray Ray Armstrong is another one I think is on the bubble. I think the suprise cut will be Wilhoite due more to the other LBers having more sideline to sideline speed... I'd love to say this is the year Brooks gets cut but Like TJE he seems to be just good enough to stick around.
