Jalen, yes.

Trent, no. (Let's get the show on the road so we can end this experiment already).

And even with Jalen back they'll need to make more moves, especially if Deebo is going to be more problem than part of an answer.

Unfortunately, the moves I'm talking about are more likely to be ones that come in the offseason than anything they could realistically pull off mid-season.

I would have liked to get Witherspoon back to deal with Samuel's speed. I think our D matches up pretty well against the Panthers, though, with the possible exception of McCaffrey (who is basically matchup proof).

I've never been so excited to get a long snapper back.

As for me, I just want Kyle Juszczyk back. Patiently waiting...!

Panthers put Natrell Jamerson on IR, promote DeAndrew White from practice squad

Natural that a favorite of mine would get a promotion to the roster on 49ers week and another be added to another team's practice squad. :noway:

Taylor has the injury issues, for sure, and he's never going to be a big-play guy, but if he can get healthy, I think he can be a real contributor for this team. He was very solid for us down the stretch with Garoppolo in 2017, and was receiving rave reviews for his camp. He's got very good change-of-direction skills and great feel for the soft spot in zones. I think he can do some good things if he can actually stay on the field (admittedly a big if for him at this point).

I'm glad we didn't deal a second-round pick (granted we don't have one) for Sanu. That seems like way too much for a guy who is a good all-around player, but nothing particularly special. And he's 30, though slower receivers tend to have more gradual career declines than the elite athletes. Makes sense for the Pats I guess - though not at all an endorsement of Harry - as they are the SB favorites but are scrambling a little bit for players at WR.

I don't mind if they picked up a WR for the right price but hate giving away high draft picks. We already traded away our 2nd pick. The Rams gave up too much for Ramsay. I was against the 49ers doing that

I like parts of Sanders - even at age 32 - UNLESS his off-the-field priors (one being a sexual assault case where he wasn't charged) are more of an issue that we don't know about, and I do think they could use him in THIS offense. But if a 3rd is involved I'd rather they keep it and look to move it for a larger piece down the road.

I've noted before that I've been more willing than others to advocate for dealing picks out for certain guys because I have next to no long-term faith in Lynch and company when it comes to the draft but if I felt like there was even a small chance I could make a larger move - WR or CB - down the road involving that 3rd round pick, I'd rather kick the can down the road, put up with this group of WRs in the meantime, and look at making a bigger move down the road, preferably for a CB or WR, though that is always going to be hard due to the lack of ones who are truly available.

MAYBE for a fourth. More likely a fifth or sixth for an older player who is in a contract year. If they trade their third for him, I'm gonna be pissed....

I don't mind bringing in the talent, but as I said earlier, I'm irritated that we're even contemplating trading for a WR after spending the 36th, 44th, and 67th picks on the position in the past two years. And paying relatively big money to a third guy in Goodwin. To say nothing of spending huge money on Garcon for two years. Also, it seems a bit knee-jerk when our OL is missing its two best players and our QB is still rounding into form after a serious injury.
