Not a big fan of the move. I just don't see him making that big of a difference in this offense for the next 10+ games to give up a 3rd & 4th. If he had one more year on his deal I would be happier

Elway will probably screw up the picks (it's either pretty darn good with him or what the heck is/was he thinking?) BUT for now he can say he got great value IMO. Sheesh!

And that's factoring in that if the 49ers become a playoff team the 4th and the 5th will be fairly close together.

The 4th is basically the same as Broncos 5th, so really it's just for a 3rd.

I am interested to see how Kyle will get Sanders the ball. Not use to seeing Jimmy throw to a #1 guy, this hopefully also takes some eyes of Kittle a little bit.
I assume Bourne will be the odd man out on game days and Matthews will be released

And to clarify: I like the player fine. But we've now got a first-round pick, two fifths, a sixth, and a seventh. Way to mortgage the future for a one-year rental, John and Kyle. So stupid. The fourth alone is the most I would have given up.

The use of "high" third is confusing in a draft context. It should be the equivalent of a later-round 3rd (obviously depending upon where the Niners end the year). If their guys get healthy, they can make a legit run this year. But the NFC is going to be a dog fight in the playoffs, assuming we make it. Teams like the Saints, Packers, Cowboys all have extensive playoff experience and as much or more talent. Especially at QB unless Garoppolo starts to improve his game. Hopefully Sanders helps with that, but I don't feel like it's necessarily the receiving talent that is the problem.
