That’s the weird thing about Jimmy. He makes great throws but misses some throws I could make from time to time. The right-side throws should be the easiest ones.

Extremely happy to see his success with the deep ball, though. He struggled with that early on.

He still struggles with it, he just doesn't throw it very often. The last few true deep balls he's thrown have been badly underthrown, but his receivers have been wide open or have made good plays on contested balls. I can't recall him ever hitting a guy in stride on a go ro route, or something along those lines. I think that's arguably the biggest thing limiting him as a passer right now, and I hope he continues to work on it in the offseason.

I hate to hear what happened to Thielen... I don’t wish injuries on anybody seriously.

ESPN is reporting that it doesn't seem too significant in terms of affecting his availability for Saturday's game.

Sounds like Ahkello Witherspoon has been named the starter for Saturday.

We shall see.... It's something of a dicey choice. Pass rush needs to be clicking.

If early-season Ford shows up, any CB will look good. Niners had 24 sacks in 164 snaps when Bosa and Ford were both on the field. When one of them is missing, they also had 24 sacks.....on 801 snaps. I think any OL would start sweating bullets if they see a front four of Ford, DeFo, AA and Bosa in a passing situation.

Yeah, the pass rush fell off a cliff without Ford/Tartt on the field.

Frisco only had 4 sacks total in the final 5 games. 1 against Baltimore, 0 against New Orleans, 2 against Atlanta, 0 against Los Angeles, and 1 against Seattle.

With Ford, Tartt, and even Kwon coming back to very welcoming returns, hopefully that will help revive that pass rush.

At least some of that was due to quality of QB opponent and game plan. Quick release QBs like Brees, elusive guys like Jackson and Wilson. But the Rams outcomes are more telling.

Rams extensively used Goff rolling out in a moving pocket; I think that caught the Niners off-guard as they didn't seem to be expecting that.

Yeah, Rams game planned better in the second matchup. Would have gotten into that but I'm on my phone.

That didn't seem to work. Yes, Rams definitely game planned better for the rush in the second game. On my phone, so nuance is difficult.

Yeah it did. And of course sack totals certainly aren't the sole measurement of grading a pass rush. That said, after getting Rodgers on the ground 5 times in week 12 there was definitely a sizable dropoff in the pass rush department.

Curious to see if Bosa has been trying to counter the adjustments that I'm sure tackles are making.

Of course a lot of the time, he's being chipped or doubled.

If they're keeping a RB in to help blocking the DE, you'd think there could be blitzing opportunities up the middle for the LB who's assigned to the RB?

I don't think Dee Ford is going to end up playing.

That's probably for the best. Last time the Niners rushed him back, we all know what happened. Niners can easily beat the ViQueens without him.

Save Ford for the Seahawks.

Yes, but even with GB, they lost one of their OTs in the game, and Rodgers holds the ball a long time. But getting Ford back should be a big lift. He's maybe the nastiest speed rusher in the league.

Read on Twitter

Kind of weird how Street went from getting in a limited practice and being questionable for the game to being placed on IR in a span of 24 hours. Though somebody had to lose their roster spot in favor of Kwon.

Oh well, Kwon's return is much welcomed and needed.

Well they didn't want to cut Street and him having some kind of injury makes it seem okay I guess

 So we’re the only team favored to get upset this weekend... how cute SmH I can’t wait for tomorrow.

Welcome back Kwon
