49ers are 3-2-1 (Rams tie game) in his history of doing 49ers games.

Blakeman is notorious with the 49ers because he allowed 1:19 of time to come off the clock in the 2nd quarter of the Rams tie game that he did. He was also doing the 49ers game in 2010 vs. Chargers (34-7 loss) when Justin Smith contacted the umpire and then ejected him from the game for it. (Smith wasn't fined after review).

It's getting hard not to be able to come up with similar examples for all these guys.

The response from fans was nearly all positive and Shanahan's words showed that the man is someone anyone can relate to.

He is? Yeah, sure.

It made him even more likable than he already was.

This is most interesting because their make ups are considerably different. As a bit of a Miami fan, I liked Sean Spence a bit despite the fact that physically he never fit my taste. He has some straight up football player in him that helps make up for some of that. though.

Butler always fit my eye from a physical make up standpoint, and depending on who you ask, there's a bunch of people who believe he flat out quit on the Chargers after getting paid and was never highly graded after that and since.

It always scares me when anybody shows signs that Butler showed towards the game of football but maybe being away from it for a while has changed some things for him and I'd at least be willing to listen to what he has to say and see what he could look like on a field again. However, it wouldn't shock me if he burns out or whatever on football again so obviously temper expectations.

Somebody said that Solomon Thomas had no pass pressures but that it takes awhile for pass rushers to have impact.

Um, no, Aaron Donald was a stud from the get go.

And edge rushers often cause all kinds of havoc as rookies. Look at Von Miller as rookie or even Aldon Smith.

Soloman Thomas was the #2 pick of the draft.

And Buckner was #7 last year? And Armstead was like top 15 pick?

Ugh ...
