Chip Kelly Offense

Good article. I would question his statement on the 49ers preseason offense though. Why would Kelly show his hand in preseason games.

We'll have to wait until year 2 and 3 of his tenure before we get an idea if Kelly's offense has really gone stagnant or if it was more a problem personnel.

I'm willing to cut him some slack this season because the skill positions outside of Hyde just aren't good and it's hard to have a high flying offense with Blaine "throw it 6 yards shy of a 1st down on 3rd down" Gabbert and virtually nobody to throw the ball too.

If Hyde stays healthy the offense should at least have a respectable running game this season with what should be an above average line and having a poor running game would be a cause for concern.

I guess it's just hard for me to picture that if the guy is as smart as people claim he is (and he has a lot of high profile coaches claim that) he wouldn't be able to recognize the flaws and work to fix them.
