personally i dislike the HC calling plays i know why they do it but it distracts from their other duties. i think co defensive coordinators is crazy players are going to wonder which one is charge it won't work well

Falcons tweak Raheem Morris’ title, name Doug Mallory DB coach

One of the tweaks came to the responsibilities of Raheem Morris, who moved from working with the defensive backs to the wide receivers in an unexpected move last year. Morris was hired as an assistant head coach and passing game coordinator on defense in 2015 and then moved to wide receivers coach while keeping the assistant head coach title in 2016.

The Falcons announced on Friday that he is again the passing game coordinator, although they made no distinction as to which side of the ball the two-way coach will be coordinating. Jerome Henderson had that title on defense in 2016 and is expected to take be part of a c0-defensive coordinator arrangement under Kyle Shanahan with the 49ers. There was no offensive passing game coordinator on the 2016 staff.

It was reported yesterday that they are still interested in Flores but the Patriots had to determine whether or not to allow it. My guess is that they hire these guys if Flores falls through.

From everything that I've gathered, they want a hybrid system or multiple fronts which I can live with.

Shame they couldn't find a spot for him but Bobby Turner is a pretty good RB coach so Rathman isn't a devasting loss by any means.

DC is the biggest concern by far and it's been pretty quite on that front so I'm curious as to what's going on there.

Damn it thats crappy news... Replacing Rathman with someone who should just be the ball boy... Maybe overly harsh but its Rathman... Just keep the Rath and make Turner like assistant running game coordinator... or coach of ball inflating or something else.

Turner is gonna teach the outside zone run game.
