Here's the first 2018 mock draft I clicked on. Is it a foregone conclusion that Sam Darnold will be the first player taken?

Hope a #1 WR hits FA next offseason.

Now I remember what game it was. BYU. Yikes.

Josh Allen is a complete projection at this point just from what he brings from a physical standpoint. Still needs a lot of work, but the the requisites are all there.
Right now it's Sam Darnold, but he's only going to be a rs Soph so there is a strong chance he might not even declare at this point.
Others that will be talked about:
Luke Falk
Josh Rosen (JR)
Lamar Jackson (JR)
Mason Rudolph
Baker Mayfield
Jake Browning (JR)

You put Browning's football IQ and QBing skills on Jackson's body and you'd have the perfect QB prospect. Standalone they both have some real flaws that might be hard for me to get by if I'm taking them high.
Baker Mayfield is going to be an absolute nightmare to scout and pinpoint. Throws the heck out of the football but makes things so unnecessarily difficult for himself and plays outside the confines of his offense on too many occasions.
Right now the only QB I'd have in the first is Sam Darnold. Josh Allen has some real potential but I won't go that far yet. There's another super sleeper that I won't talk about because I'm unsure but he's got out of this world potential.

Agreed, loved me some Sutton. I would've probably put him #2 after Corey Davis.
