Meanwhile Deondre François is making a case for himself. Not as a #1 overall pick, but certainly as a formidable draft prospect worthy of a 1st round grade. FSU has a lot of talent this year. François is definitely one of them. I'm looking at his body language and the kid exudes confidence. Jimbo Fischer may not be able to convince him to return for another season.
He's playing pretty well but he has thrown about 4 or 5 passes that should of been picked off but the defense failed to make a play.

I spoke too soon. Now he's playing crappy football. His last 2 passes has been INTs.

He's a redshirt sophomore. Now he's being assisted off the field -- appears to be a severe knee injury. I hope it's not season ending.

I was gonna say that he has some time to develop but eek, that'd be tough to get hurt at this moment

I'm not an LSU fan but seeing numbers like this makes me quiver. I have large soft spots about the run game on both sides of the ball and it's stuff like that that takes years off my sports watching lifespan.

He was a 5 star recruit:
Shea Patterson - QB - Rebels
Ole Miss sophomore QB Shea Patterson completed 28-of-35 passes for 429 yards and four touchdowns in Saturday's 47-27 win over South Alabama.
Spectacular debut for Patterson, who has doggedly stuck by Ole Miss even after a slew of alleged NCAA rules violations and the surprise summer resignation of HC Hugh Freeze. The super sophomore has thrown for at least 300 yards in three of his four starts with the Rebs dating back to last season. We expect him to keep pumping in the numbers, even with the competition ramping up over the coming weeks -- Ole Miss figures to be in its fair share of holes on the scoreboard, which should only help boost Patterson's statistical profile.

Luke Falk - QB - Cougars
Washington State senior QB Luke Falk completed 33-of-39 passes for 311 yards and three touchdowns in a 31-0 victory over Montana State on Saturday.
It's the first time in Falk's career that the Cougars have opened up with a victory. He wasn't as clinical as he usually is in the early portion of the evening, but he was extremely accurate in the second half, as you can see from that completion percentage. His first touchdown pass was a 13-yarder to Cougar running back James Williams, and he would find Williams again in the fourth quarter for 24 yards and a score. In between those two passes, he threw a six-yard dime to wideout Tavares Martin in the third quarter. Lots of quarterbacks could put up big numbers in WSU Head Coach Mike Leach's system, but Falk is more than a system quarterback. If the Cougars keep winning, he's a darkhorse candidate for some Heisman love at the end of the season.

Devastating loss for FSU if this if he's out for the season. However, the backup QB, James Blackman who's a true freshman is a tremendous pocket passer. He is a gifted passer who can really put a spin on the ball. The only issue is, he's a true freshman and hasn't really mastered the playbook. Nor has he yet adapted to the speed of the game playing D1 level football.

Allen was a poor decision maker last year and he's picking up where he left off. On top of that he has erratic fundamentals. I still don't get the hype on him.

Chao pretty much nails it again:

OT: I don't always love when a person talks about a college coach for NFL jobs but how Jim Mora continues to get his name thrown around for several possible NFL job openings is amazing to me other than when someone is doing it because Mora is such a nice guy to many national reporters and has an in with some NFL owners (York being one).
I get that's where some of it comes from but there's still legitimate NFL types who think he should still be considered for a bunch of these openings. Amazing to me.

I know Rosen got lucky on that throw but I want that dude in a 49ers jersey. I can't remember when I liked a QB as much as I like him.

That comeback, though...................
That would only happen to a couple schools in the nation. A&M is one of them.....

Incredible.
Let's pair Rosen up with Kyle Shanahan and see what happens!
