5.) Josh Gordon
6.) Arden Key

Ha! This is why you're great sometimes. I'd EASILY choose Josh Gordon and it's not close. I actually really like Josh Gordon when he's on the field. For this scenario I can't say my usual "but he scares the crap out of me" because they all do. I've actually advocated for pursuing him if the Browns ever decided to make him realistically available. It'd come with a lot of provisions and I'd have to lay out my expectations for everyone so that it might make more sense but that one is an easy question. He'd be far and away my choice of the 6.

LOL. Thanks for even entertaining this little stupid game of mine. But I'm shocked that you still trust Gordon. You surprise me a lot at times with the occasional curve balls. If I remember correctly, Gordon scared the living crap out of everyone (boards we were in) when he came out. I believe it was a supplemental draft, because he basically ran out of chances at Baylor, and therefore couldn't enter the draft... anyway, I'm shocked you would still trust Gordon after all he's got himself into over the years.

It's not that I trust Gordon. Not in full at least. He'd just be someone I'd take a gamble and roll of the dice on if the money were right at the time that I have to face the money stuff. I reserve the right to change my mind on anything as more information comes out on him and that entire situation but if I can get him for peanuts and he messes up again, it's one of the rare instances that I can live with myself knowing what I know now.

Now if I had the ability to study him with NFL caliber tools and resources maybe I wouldn't want him. That's possible, too. But I can only go off of what I know right now and he's far and away the most desirable guy on the list of guys you gave me.

MCGLinchey was a dumb pick.

I always said if Rosen was there draft him. it's the luxury you have a Quarterback you can move for more players picks. or you just drafted a franchise hall of fame type of Quarterback. and you keep him from a great team.

Now we just gifted the Arizona Cardinals Josh Rosen. who is like a Peyton Manning. and I mentioned that in here that I could see the Arizona Cardinals trading up and drafting Josh Rosen well we didn't draft him and we let the Cardinals get him now he can kick our Ass in our division for 10 seasons. great job Lynch.

I don't get it how many of you in here would say we can trade for Jimmy Gorapollo win those games and still have a chance at Drafting Josh Rosen who was number one on a lot of peoples draft boards I don't get not drafting best player available and just drafting for need.

Could we have gotten Rosen and gotten another Tackle in another round like Zues Brown YES!!!!!!

Don't get it but hey we drafted Solomon Thomas over Leonard Fournette and Jamal Adams so hey guess we could do it.

Now look at this division Rosen Goff and Wilson. Wow. Quarterback.

We got Jimmy Geezus. No way were we in need of another QB. Zeus Brown is without question the worst possible fit for Shanny’s zone blocking scheme. Now if you said a guy like O’Neill that would make more sense.

You don't draft at QB at #9 just to let him sit on the bench when you have other pressing needs and you will end up losing in a few years anyway. Even if you move him in a year or two odds are you won't get anything more than the pick you gave up for him in the first place so you've only wasted time. Drafting Rosen makes zero sense

Orlando Brown fits that system. It’s all about finding the right scheme. He doesn’t fit every NFL team in terms of what the tackles are required to do. It’s just like comparing Demarcus Lawrence and JJ Watt for example. Let’s say JJ retires and the Texans trade for D. Lawrence to replace him. Even though they both play defensive ends, that wouldn’t be a good fit for Demarcus and the Texans. It’s a bad fit in terms of scheme. That’s one reason why Zeus cannot play for us.

NFL Draft News & Notes: April 11

Several people have confided in me that additional and new red flags have popped up on former Florida receiver Antonio Callaway since the combine.

The talented receiver and return specialist turned in a terrific combine last month after sitting on the sidelines in 2017. Callaway, along with six other players, was suspended by the Gators last August for a violation of team rules. Josh Norris of Rotoworld reported earlier this week that the New York Jets brought Callaway in for an official visit.

I'm just going to keep this one rolling with some of my previous statements:

One other draft item of note. This offseason Antonio Brown started working out with Callaway and it was said he was kind of mentoring him a little bit and trying to help him.

I'm in the minority on a lot of draft/NFL character stuff these days but this statement doesn't help him with me either.

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnd I can just keep this one going.

New Browns starter Antonio Callaway was cited for marijuana possession on Sunday morning

"I wouldn't take that kid on if you paid me big bucks to do it" were some of my words back then in the thread and look at that - makes a decision that put his name in the news yet again.

Shea Patterson - QB - Wolverines

Michigan DC Don Brown said of junior QB Shea Patterson, "I'm excited to see him play against other people."

"He’s a confident guy. He has the ability to do things with his legs, he’s got a quick release. I just like the guy, I just like him," Brown said. Wolverines RB coach Jay Harbaugh is right in lockstep with the mustachioed defensive coordinator, noting that Patterson's development since this summer has been phenomenal. Said Harbaugh, "May, June, July until now, he definitely has improved his command of things, his understanding of where his different outlets are for the ball, formations, run game, all that stuff." The 6-foot-2, 193-pounder will have his first opportunity to show out for his new program when Michigan takes on Notre Dame to kick off the season on Sept. 1.
