The 49ers also announced that they have signed linebacker Austin Calitro. Calitro, who went undrafted out of Villanova, spent 10 days with the Jets in May.

They could have taken a flier on worse guys than Calitro, IMO. He generally isn't exactly what I usually go for in a flier LB because of some athletic limitations, but I really like his eyes, his pursuit ability to the ball, and he's considered to be a smart, good kid.
