I loved Bowman but sadly injuries have turned him into a shell of his former self. It's tough to see him go but I understand it

I would be shocked if they extend Hyde. I think he bought himself some goodwill showing up to training camp lighter and letting the coaches know he's committed but it looks like that's not going to be enough.

The problem with Hyde and why I wouldn't personally extend him as well is he just can't stay healthy. Seems like he's always banged up or out of the lineup with one problem or another and I just don't see that going away.

We seemed to have drafted a number of those guys in recent years that can't play through a full season

I guess Hyde probably doesn't factor enough into the passing game for Kyle to depend on him.

If you (a coach) can't get Hyde to be a factor in the passing game, that's on you as a coach IMO. There shouldn't be any Hyde reason/problem why Hyde can't be a factor in the passing game IMO. If someone wants to disagree with me, fine, but I'd like to know why someone doesn't think he can't be a factor in the receiving game.

With that said. The "listed" RBs ahead of him in the usage receiving game so far this year:

Christian McCaffrey.
James White
Andre Ellington
Le'Veon Bell
LeSean McCoy
Tarik Cohen
Duke Johnson
Todd Gurley
Javorious Allen
Alvin Kamara
Melvin Gordon
Shane Vereen

Not bad.

But he's always bringing in Breda in passing situations for whatever reason ...

Bowman hasn't been exactly thrilled or tolerable since the offseason here....

I wonder if him and the staff aren't seeing eye to eye.

Shanny has been disrespecting Bowman's legacy since early on. I think it's a great move to trade Bowman for anything, but Shanny is going about it wrong. I know some people like Ninersickness think John Lynch is has the reigns since he's the GM, but that's clearly not the case based on multiple things we've seen.

They at least did him right by releasing him instead of forcing him to go somewhere he didn't want to be.

Supposedly Hyde has been blocking poorly on pass downs

Told ya'll. Writing has been on the wall for a few weeks now. Like I said before...no more speed and very bad lateral movement. Looks like he is playing on one leg.

Good call, Ray. Should've traded him last year (same with Joe Staley).

Joe Thomas just got hurt. Does someone make an offer we can't refuse?
