It's not a good match up for Dontae vs. half the Texans roster but he's just not a fit for a Shanahan/Saleh led team regardless of who he's lining up across. Give him actual bodies in front of him and I still don't think he's a fit for a Shanahan/Saleh led team. Not that I needed another game to cement it in my own mind but it's just something you can see whenever he's out there IMO. I probably shouldn't even waste the energy posting it because it's that obvious that it doesn't really add much value to the thread, but...........

OT: 'Bisky goes in for a quarterback keeper TD. Bears up 21-7 over Bengals. midway through the 3rd.

Who on this planet didn't have Beadles AND Fusco not being able to block Clowney? Ha.

Heck, Beadles and Fusco together blocking isn't a good matchup right now most of the time for the 49ers. From what I can see......

Greg Mabin on Hopkins now. At least they're trying stuff I guess.

Bears score again to make it a 26-7 lead vs. CIN at the start of the 4th quarter. That should be enough.

Giants tied with the Cowboys 10-10 with 12 minutes to go in that one.

That's the longest reception of Celek's career - 61 yards. Previous long was 47 yards (also this year).

Still irks me they kept McDonald as long as they did.......

Sure he did. DeAndrew White just had to get in on the action at the end there to irk me.

Well looks like Jimmy played well to lead the team to victory, though again had a lower QBR than the opposing QB.

But the Texans' defensive front seemed to be a better test, with 2 sacks and 9 QB hits.

Wonder how much they blitzed him.

Completion percentage was only 60.6%, with the one int. and 5 PDs. Wonder how many drops.

Goodwin, Celek and Juszcyk led in targets at 12, 4 and 4.

Need to get him some more WR help next year -- not sure if Garcon is going to be back next year?

He was literally creamed over and over and over again by Clowney alone. Still dropped dimes and Hyde cost him a long bomb TD on one of those. Just my opinion but QBR means nothing to me.

Wish there was a clear cut top receiver coming into the draft. Watching Hopkins go crazy just shows how much we need to find a stud receiver to pair with Garcon. Goodwin and Taylor would round out an awesome WR corps

I’m a big fan of Sutton. I was also very bullish on Hopkins. Sutton reminds me of him.

I like Sutton too, he kind of reminds me of TO a little bit. I’d be more than happy with him as our pick.

Goodwin will probably go over 1,000 yards this season. How crazy is that?

I'd be happy with Washington from Okla. St.

What about a tall TE? JG was coached up in a system where TE is such a huge part of the passing game.

Or one of those short, quick, slot WRs who are built like fire hydrants, like Welker, Edelman, Amendola?

Patriots work on creating separation for their receivers, whether it's difficult matchups like Gronk and some of the other TEs they've had or those quick slot guys or using rub routes (or using picks).

They do not depend on tall, wide catch radius WRs who make contested catches and consistent win 50-50 balls (except maybe in the red zone for someone like Gronk).

JG gets rid of the ball quick if the play design can create fast-developing separation so guys who can win at the LOS would be useful complement.

49ers are unlikely to get a beast like Julio Jones who can win quick or downfield on plays that require JG to hold the ball longer. With their OL, the less he has to hold the ball, the better.

Tyler Eifert is a FA. Like 20% chance he pans out as a FA, but I'd take that chance at this point.

Wonder what kind of money he'd command after all the injuries he's had.

He had one stud year and has been hobbled since.
