With Q. Nelson looking like the best guard since Larry Allen, I'm curious how you'd rank the best guards of all time. The greats of old like Gene Upshaw were before my time, but the ones I've seen:
1. Larry Allen
2. Bruce Matthews
3. Randle McDaniel
4. Will Shields
5. Steve Hutchinson
6. Alan Faneca
...As a prospect, I'd put Nelson just below Bruce Matthews IMO. He's going to be a HOFer one day, IMO.
