This guy deserves a thread. I've watched him with Aaron Rodgers. I see a very similar Quarterback with Jimmy G. and I think we need to make sure we sign this guy and get him right away he can't be on the open market that long.

Last season he still put up numbers. the guy would be our unquestioned number one receiver. he can do downfield over the middle sure handed. I just like this guy on our team with our other players on offense would really make it great for us. he would make it easier for our running backs. Kittle would really like playing with this guy. championship pedigree knows how to win. and great guy. let's sign him now.

Pats and Niners....

I see the Pats, idk but I think he'll be more drawn to Brady than SF.

No, he doesn't deserve his own thread. We have a FA thread. Nelson is about the 133rd best player available right now. He didn't put up numbers last year. He played 15 games and was the 64th receiver in yards (77th in yards per game). JJ Nelson put up more yards than he did. Pierre Garcon put up more yards and he only played eight games. Between the twenties, Nelson would be our third receiver - generously. The only area where he might be an upgrade is the red zone.

As for Garoppolo and Rodgers, Rodgers is a much better deep ball passer than Garoppolo. That's been Garoppolo's biggest weakness to date in his career. And that's where Nelson has had most of his success historically. Nelson is worth considering on a modest contract to fill an Eric Decker role (incidentally, another guy who had substantially more yards Nelson). If you bring him in expecting him to be a #1, you're going to be incredibly disappointed.

I agree. He is worth a flier. We could use a big receiver near the endzone.
