Not impressed by this defensive coach.

One of those calls that whatever it was ruled on the field is going to stand IMO.

Talk about bare minimum for pass rush but still playing a part in a drive.

Sheesh! Ugly.

If only we could get something more from the Armstead/Marsh side of the line. UGH Marsh is such a nothing.

It does, but a good CB or pass rusher would help more.

End of day we wanted the Win and the 1-1 finish, right? we got it...

…. so why am I not happy?

A lot to be turned off guys/gals. Honestly, we were terrible. It was a downgrade of a performance from last week IMO.

The saddest part is he gets more credit because of who is around him. No, wait. The saddest part is they probably still see him as part of the future.

Man that was ugly at the end but given the stage this team is in with it's rebuild ugly wins are going to happen.

Defensively it's obvious that the lack of a true pass rusher is killing the defense. So many missed and almost sacks that would be sacks if you had a legit pass rusher to finish it off.

The secondary needs to get it's act together as it seems like it's a lot of mental errors and I don't know if you put it on coaching or the players.

Offensively it's clear Jimmy G has taken a step back. I'm not overly worried at this point because I don't see issues that aren't fixable and I believe his issues are coming from the fact that he's starting from the ground up in Shanahan's offense and he's still not fully comfortable with it unlike last year where they gave him a handful of plays he had down pat and let him just ball out.

WR struggling to get open isn't helping but he still needs to learn to just throw it away and not take the sacks if the play isn't there.

Trying to think of anything that surprised me in this one.

Jimmy. Nothing surprising there. Many of the same issues he had in college.

Breida not falling over when the wind hit him maybe?

Nothing with Morris. As steady as you'd expect going into his 30th year on Earth.

Garcon? Nope. Is who he is. Good and bad. Wishing they'd have gotten him as a youngster when there was a bit more juice there because man, was he ever fun!

Kittle? Nope. Yeah, but what about his hands, CP? Doesn't shock me.

Celek did Celek stuff in this one but that didn't surprise me. Should've had an even bigger day. Thanks, Jimmy.

Richburg seemed like Richburg. McGlinchey has some small stuff to clean up again. Expected.

Taylor is who he is as a returner. Maddening. Expected.

Reed was a positive but that was also something I would've figured. That didn't shock me.

Witherspoon is going to be a roller coaster for at least a while yet, if he ever even stops the wild rides. What would surprise me is if he is crumbling under pressure mentally. I wouldn't expect it to overtake him and affect him too much.

Oh, it just hit me. Earl Mitchell actually popped a little more than I would have thought.

Nzeocha and K'Waun still need to go. Ward's days are still numbered on the team. He needs a change of scenery. Wrong staff for him. Wrong system for him.

The last time Pinion hit 44 for a game was half a season ago. Shocking. Not.

------

The 49ers have been embarassingly lucky and fortunate with kickers lately. They've had some of my all-time favorites lately Nedney, Akers for a while, Dawson, and Gould). Ridiculous. Nedney/Dawson/Gould all are all-time guys off the field, too. Not sure about Akers.

-----

I'd probably be a lot more upset if there would have been problems showing that I didn't think would be problems. That might be the biggest theme for me with this season.

My theme for the Lynch-Shanahan era is do whatever possible to make the organization more attractive for the next group. Just don't leave it stinking any worse than it was already in.
