Dexter Williams to the Packers is interesting. He grew on me over time but is a HUGE character question mark. I really don't know if he's an idiot and how much of a risk he is of another arrest and/or another suspension. Haven't heard a lot on that front and there isn't a ton there to find.

Tim Harris ... CB ... tall, long, kind of fast, oft injured. Checks all the 49ers boxes.

Tim Harris to the 49ers I REALLY like a LOT at this point. One of my favorite players left. He and Derrek Thomas were my two favorite CBs remaining. Love.

Former 4-star recruit coming out of high school. Missed almost all of '16 and '17 with shoulder and wrist (required surgery) injuries. Very good '18 season as a starter.

Excelled at the East-West Shrine Game practices.

Pro Day numbers: 4.39 (40 time), 39-inch vertical, 11 foot, 7 inch broad jump (would have been better than every cornerback at the NFL combine since at least 2006).

He doesn't check the "can't play" box.

If he remains healthy and the system doesn't mess him over, they've really got something IMO. I love this one.

Kind of like Gerri Green for the Colts.

Travis Homer to the Seahawks. For me Homer is one of the best ST conversion players in this draft. He was so good on STs (10 tackles) that they couldn't take him off their units once he became their starter. Also has good yards-after-contact numbers. Powerful.

The last time the 49ers didn't have a 7th round pick in the draft was in 2007. The Patrick Willis, Joe Staley, Ray McDonald, Dashon Goldson, Tarell Brown, and others draft. It's been rare in their recent history.

I think prior to that was '97?

Why does the NFL network have to play old town road every time it goes to commercial

So painful.

------------

Kelvin Harmon to the Redskins. I didn't buy to a lot of the 2nd-3rd round junk in the moment when it was going on but I will say that this is a pretty good spot for him IMO.

Physical. Shows the ability to get through the press at the LOS. Outstanding body control with several catches made near the sideline getting feet in bounds and showing the ability to make the back shoulder catch time and time again. Good 51.4% contested catch percentage.

Struggles to separate and has not run a lot of routes - limited route tree.

Tim Harris was PFF's 117th best player (got him at 198).

Seahawks take Florida State DT Demarcus Christmas.

Streaky player. Burst off the line is not very good. Makes up for it some with his power inside and an ability to get off blocks. Good run game player and will track down ball carriers. Bats down balls. Plays too high and he makes it easy on linemen to move him around. POA skills lacking. Needs to develop more pass rush moves.

They also don't have a 7th round pick as it stands right now so their draft is done without more moves.

Rodney Anderson to the Bengals. An Oklahoma-Oklahoma backfield (Joe Mixon).

Lord, I'm jealous.

Missouri DT Terry Beckner Jr. to the Bengals at the top of the 7th. He was one of the top recruits coming out of high school. Played the 1 and 3 techniques. Good quickness. Had a miserable NFL Combine workout.

Texas CB Kris Boyd to the Vikings is good value IMO.

Bengals got themselves an Oklahoma-Oklahoma backfield in this draft.
Cowboys just got themselves an Ohio State-Ohio State backfield (Mike Weber).

Maryland T Derwin Gray to the Steelers. Fun stat: Gray was part of a line this year that helped 4 different running backs record a 100-yard rushing day this year.

Florida Atlantic RB Kerrith Whyte Jr. to the Bears. How does that apply and make sense? Whyte has one of the best elusiveness scores in the country. Bears requirement.

South Dakota State CB Jordan Brown to the Bengals. Kind of caught my eye later on. Didn't have him targeted but the 7th isn't bad for him. That could work.

Even though I don't love the sound of it, and I'm not overly blaming Shanahan, but I GUARANTEE the question that led to this answer was one of those stupid, lazy draft questions that stupid people ask. Drives me crazy.
