25 years is a long time to wait for a SB win, but I think it's gonna happen in 2 weeks.
Andy Reid was born to choke. Wait for it...

That'll be no problem at all. Chiefs can't run the ball for s**t, so all the Niners have to do is switch between blitzing & dropping 8 into coverage all day.![]()
Chiefs have a great offense, but it's one-dimensional. And nobody stops the pass better than this D.

That's the key to this one. Mahones is a mobile quarterback who can scramble and make big plays out of second and third options, like a prime Russell Wilson, but he's not a freight train like LJ. He's not going to beat us with his rushes. Just got to get to him and keep him off balance.
I can see the Niners pulling this out 34-27 as long as Garoppolo has a decent game.

It will be very interesting to see how we can match-up against Mahomes. Some fans like to say that we have been vulnerable to mobile quarterbacks this season, but I can't seem to find any in-game evidence of that. At least I have not found any game-based evidence where our defense with Ford and Alexander playing have been unable to defend mobile quarterbacks. Games without them are not relevant since I assume both will play in the Super Bowl. Getting pressure on Mahomes is critical since clearly no one can match-up with the speed of Tyreke Hill; can't give him time to get open or we will get burned.

Murray gave them problems in both games. Wilson had some problems but he also made a lot of big plays too. Obviously Lamar made some plays, enough to win.
The second Rams game, they moved Goff outside the pocket a lot to buy time and get some big pass plays.
49ers defense isn't magic. Like everyone else, they're vulnerable if the QB can get outside and has time to launch a deep cross or corner.

Again, my question is how much trouble did Murray and Wilson give us when we had both Ford and Alexander on the field, unless you believe that they won't be playing in the SB. I haven't seen any stats from those games in which our defense was healthy to see how much "trouble" they gave us. If you can post them, then I would accept that as evidence. I think having a healthy defense is different than our defense playing short-handed.

It's an irrelevant question. You're asking for evidence that doesn't exist - not because we played well against mobile QBs with Alexander and Ford on the field, but because we didn't play any mobile QBs at all with both of them on the field. Alexander didn't play against Murray or Wilson this year. He didn't play against Jackson. He played against Winston, Dalton, Rudolph, Mayfield, Goff, Keenum, and Kyle Allen. None of those guys is a threat with his legs. The best runner among them might be Winston, who ran for 250 yards at a 4.2 YPC clip (and that's without a viable run game for most of the season).
There's nothing about the games in which we struggled against mobile QBs that suggests to me that Alexander would have made a stark difference in them. Meanwhile, immobile guys like Goff have hurt this team on designed rollouts. We're going to have to watch for that - though we seem to have made significant improvements since the Rams game, and that's a big element of Rodgers' game that didn't hurt us so badly yesterday.
