And that's all she wrote.

Bye-bye playoffs.

Is Sanu still a free agent, is he even healthy?

If not, its time to go hunting the practice squads leaguewide.

This WR group is embarrassing. Garoppolo won't ever play well with this caliber of "weapons."

Just a complete disaster in all three phases. D had some moments, but once again couldn't get a stop when it mattered. Offense was unrelentingly brutal except for a handful of big plays. STs allowed a blocked punt, only KO return went for like 40 yards. Just terrible. Inexcusable. We need to see some major improvement next week.

Only silver lining is the schedule is pretty light for the next several weeks

Jimmy seems to think way too much. Bourne was wide open and he tried to make a perfect pass to him and screwed it up, and he didn't let it rip to Taylor.

This is what happens when you have the chance to draft a generational talent at WR but you prefer to be a smart ass about it and complicate things

That drive with the bogus calls they gave to the Cards.

The scary part is that other than WR & C this team is pretty healthy right now.

To be fair, they'd look better if he threw with anticipation. Bourne would have had a TD. Taylor would have had the first down.

By all accounts people were saying Aiyuk looked great in camp before getting hurt. We might have a great receiver, just don't know yet.

I hope he is great, but this was such a Lynch/Shanahan move, trying to prove that they know more than others. It was a simple pick, draft the best WR available.

That's because he can't throw the deep ball. He's awful at it. The only one I can actually remember him throwing well is the pass to Kittle in the SB where he was called for PI. I literally cannot recall another good deep ball (20+ yards) by Garoppolo.

But that doesn't excuse his lack of anticipation in the short and mid-range area.

Maybe. But Bourne is prone to drops in key situations, and while Taylor has solid hands he doesn't exactly thrive in traffic.

I'm sure we could go back and watch the all 22 and see some situations where if either of those guys just made a cut, or changed direction, or did a double move, etc they could have gotten open to help lead to a 3rd down conversion or TD.

He had a good one in that slugfest vs the Saints to Sanders

Yeah, I am pretty optimistic with Aiyuk.

However, I don't put much stock into camp fluff pieces. Especially this year when teams weren't even allowed to scrimmage against someone else, let alone have a preseason game. He's also not currently healthy, and hamstring issues have the tendency to linger.

Even Deebo is largely unproven, and again has an injury that tends to linger and hamper players for several weeks.

Did anyone play well? Mostert I guess.
The defense sucked. Did Armstead play? We were doing well on the run on the last drive, we had 3 timeouts, and they decided to go to shotgun and throw the last 2 minutes. Why? Dumb decisions.

Well I think they know more than most, we did make it to the Super Bowl in their 3rd year after they inherited a dumpster fire.

I didn’t want to believe it but we’re actually not making the playoffs this year. The defense still struggles to stop Kyler Murray & mobile QB’s for that matter. Jimmy G is not our franchise QB, this guy is so average man & whose our threat at WR? This sucks.
