Givens, Hyder, and Jones have all stepped up nicely with all the injuries to the DL

Does Kyle have some kind of medical waiver that allows him to not wear a mask? I don't think I've seen him wear it on the sidelines yet this season, and Goodell issued a leaguewide warning about it earlier this week,

With this kind of a lead, I'd like to at least see what Mullens can do. It's a good opportunity to get him some in-game snaps.

No thanks, he was awful his first couple of possessions.

I also don't see the benefit to risking injuries to the WR's, Reed.

Let Mullens get his reps in practice this week

So who wanted Darnold in his draft class?

Jets really didn't put talent around him though Bell is out and they let Anderson go in free agency.

It's his third year, they going to draft another QB at the top of the draft?

The benefit is letting the guy who is very likely to start for next week - and very possibly more - some live action. Not to mention to see what he can do given that our starter has struggled.

Mullens has had some bad plays, and he's made some nice throws. That's to be expected of a guy who hasn't played in a live game in a year and a half.

Looked like a blatant hold on Kinlaw.

Givens is consistently penetrating the pocket and getting pressure on Darnold

After this game, pray to all the gods for our players and call back Ziggy

I'm just not interested in Ansah at all. He's not a particularly good player, even without the injury issues.

What? Jimmy G was absolute money today. He was obviously trending up.

As for Mullens, it appears your definition of "bad plays" and "nice throws" shifts depending on who the QB is.

If this game has taught us anything, its not to risk injuries un-neccessarily. Especially to a position group that has been the most beat up since camp started (WR).

You can't trend up playing against the Jets. You can only trend down or stay the same. This is one of the worst passing Ds in the league.

And sure, my definition of nice throws absolutely shifts based on who is playing. My expectations for Mullens are much lower than for Garoppolo, as they should be.

The upcoming injury reports are going to be highly anticipated.

Bosa unfortunately looks bad, its not a good sign that we never saw Jimmy G after his xrays, we really don't know much at all about Mostert yet.

Kittle's participation level in practice this week will also be very interesting.

Well even if you want to use that metric, one guy balled out and the other guy was shaky at absolute best.

Sure, the guy who struggled was the backup. But as the backup your #1 responsibility is to be ready at any given moment. His first dropback resulted in a long sack and a fumble. Plus he had already been warming up on the sideline earlier in the 1st half & had halftime to prepare.
