The most shocking part of this draft is that we haven't traded once.

Kyle’s type of QB. His fingerprints was all over that selection.

100% chance that he’s practice squad at best

Pretty rare that you can get a franchise QB with the last pick in the draft. 9ers playing 4D chess.

I'll comment more on day 3 when I have more time.

But for now, I don't hate the Purdy pick. He'll most likely never become relevant (ha, see what I did there?) but Sudfeld is trash and definitely shouldn't be a long term QB2. Its not out of the question Purdy sticks around this year, on the practice squad or whatever, then takes Sudfeld's spot in 2023.

CJ Beathard 2.0? With the last pick in the draft, why not take a shot on a QB? Just not sure Purdy is the guy I would have gone with. Might have taken a chance on Carson Strong's balky knee holding up.

Wonder what caused Dohnovan West to go undrafted. He's a guy I'd have on the phone right now.

Yes! On CJ Beathard ceiling

Yes! On taking a chance on Carson Strong.

Yes! On calling West and begging him to sign with us as an UDFA.

Weird that the two Arizona State OL went undrafted (West and Diesch). Both guys were expected to go in the middle rounds based on most places I've looked.

Return to San Francisco 49ers
