https://www.patriots.com/news/injury-report-analysis-projecting-the-patriots-starting-offensive-line-and-potential-matchups-in-the-secondary-vs-the-49ers

The concern for New England is the left side of the offensive line. The Patriots are 32nd in pass-block win rate, with QB Jacoby Brissett being pressured on a league-high 46.4% of his drop-backs, per Pro Football Focus. Now, there could be even more shuffling with G Sidy Sow expected to return while left tackle is an unknown.

With Lowe ruled out and Wallace questionable, waiver-wire addition Trey Jacobs has been repping as the top left tackle in practice this week. After spending his rookie season on Denver's practice squad, the Broncos waived the undrafted free agent this summer. The 6-6, 315-pound tackle played 14 snaps late in last week's loss to the Jets, allowing a sack in 11 pass-blocking snaps at left tackle.

Even without Hargrave, if the DL is AWOL again today then there is no hope left for them.

This is encouraging.

Also worth noting that Kittle doesn't have an injury designation, so he is good to go.

Easy win today. Hopefully we'll be seeing the backups in by the 3rd quarter.

Patriot offense:

31st in points per game: 13 ppg
32nd is passing yards per game: 102 yards
31st in yards per pass attempt: 5.1 yards
32nd in QB pressures allowed: 46.9%
24th in sacks allowed: 11
8th in rushing yards per game: 144.3
9th in yards per carry: 4.8
32nd in total yards per game: 246.3
30th in yards per play: 4.2
23rd in 3rd down %: 33.3%
28th in total 1st downs: 47

On paper this *should* be a "get right" game for the defense. But this defense habitually goes against what "should" happen.

If the defense struggles today....

This "should" certainly be a win.

However, this team has a bad habit of losing focus/intensity and "playing down" to the competition. To that point, this could be a trap game.

I'd be willing to bet anything that we blow them out. The Pats are so soo bad.

Huf being out isn't a terrible thing. Even though he is currently nursing an ankle injury which is separate from his torn ACL, he still likely needs to be eased back in so he can work his way back into form.

I'm still in shock that Ronnie Bell survived last week's debacle. I mean seriously, if he's a healthy scratch and Pearsall is on track to return next week, why the hell did they keep him?

Good to see Kittle & Deebo back. Also good news that big Trent is active.

No wins are easy right now, the way our defense is playing. The Pats may have the worst offense in the league, but until our D actually stops someone, you have to assume they won't.

Pearsall is eligible to return. That doesn't mean he's ready. Though I agree that Bell should be gone.

3rd and 5 against a terrible passing offense, of course means a 1st down

Really bad missed tackle by Mustapha there. He's got to clean that up fast.
