Vernon Davis Injury

Post#1 » by Apres Moi » Wed Sep 26, 2007 6:22 pm

Yuck.

Delanie Walker needs to step up with route running and pass catching over the next two weeks. Bajema is a good blocker, but not really a huge threat on offense. Walker, however, has some big play capability, IMO. I think he's shown flashes of good RAC sense.

Dang... a young, promising season and by the third week we've sustained two injuries to legitimate rising stars. Let's hope Vernon comes back quick and with a full recovery. He and Smith looked good when they connected on Sunday.

It could be longer than 2 weeks. Nolan is apparently famous within the organization for underestimating injury recovery times, and he's the one who came out with the 2 weeks thing.

We have a Bye in week 5 so he'll have three weeks.

Huge loss, he was having a pretty solid game after he made that catch and I thought by seasons end would be our #1 receiver ala Antonio Gates for the Chargers. Hoping for a quick recovery.
