hard to believe we just spent TWO years rebuilding this offense. next year will be hell when the defense takes it turn to regress.

If Norv was still here, we could be 4-1.

I'm calling for Hostler's head!

How about we just have our defense play offense too? Could it be any worse?

You know, I honestly did not think loosing Norv would be -that- big of deal but I dropped the ball on that one. It is an out of this world loss. I dont think our O problems are 100% on the loss of Norv though; maybe 90%. The other 10% falls into the fact that we have no #1 WR (why are our wideouts never open?) and our "stud" TE has been a complete bust so far in his career.

A bust? What about injuries? The guy gets injured last year, then gets into rhythm and the season ends. They fail to get him the ball in the first few games and then he finally gets used in the offense in the pittsburgh game and gets injured..

Yeah thats a real bust, maybe if he had a real lack of production in an offense that was really doing something you could consider him a bust, but right now he's just unlucky.

As for you people blaming Nolan for the way the team is right now, we're lucky he's here, without him we probably wouldn't have won a game this year, simply because our defense would probably be complete crap.

Thanew, you just made my point. He is a bust because he cannot stay healthy. Everyone is going to get injured and I understand that. But so far he has played two years and will miss significant amount of time in both years. Thus, he is not putting up the numbers everyone expects him to. There are many reasons players can be a bust and being "injury-prone" is one of them for sure. I hope he can shake this but if you come into the league injury-prone, more often than not you leave the league a lot sooner than expected. Davis has been nothing but a dissapointment so far in his career.

As for Nolan, I give him props for knowing how to put a team together. On paper, the 9ers have a playoff-type team. What we all are saying about Nolan is that be cannot manage a game. He does not adjust to game situations. He doesn't know what to do when things start to go wrong. He cannot make halftime adjustments. Until he learns all this stuff, he is in over his head at the NFL level.

I still don't agree. Vernon Davis had two freak injuries, one on a tackle that dropped him very freakishly and the other while blocking. Just two random injuries that aren't really showing a pattern of anything. I could see if he was a Rashaun Woods or an Eric Johnson, but I certainly don't see him heading in either direction.

As for Nolan not knowing how to make second half adjustments, are you crazy? Are we even watching the same games here?

Lets not start blaming Nolan. We definitly miss Norv but its not Nolans fault. Our o-line needs to open holes for Gore. We also need to stay away from injuries. I still think we can and will make the playoffs, we just need to start to pick it up and soon.
