He agreed to a five year deal.

He had a good year last year. Hopefully, he can maintain his health throughout the season. Interior D Lineman are really thin on the FA market, so it's a good thing they were able to keep some depth there.

That is true about him having a good year but alot of people wonder was that a good year because of a contract year or was it because he is finally coming along. IMO, I believe that he is finally coming along and as for him being an interior lineman he might take over B Young's spot.

But Interior lineman is really thin which is why we just locked up the current best available DT in Isaac Sopoaga. He was listed behind Haynesworth and Corey Williams of the Packers.

Also, his contact is supposed to be something like what Jay Ratliff of the Cowboys received in the 5 years 20 million dollar range with an 8 million dollar signing bonus.

Edit: Here is the breakdown for Ratliff's contract.

12/14/2007: Signed a five-year, $20.5 million contract extension through 2012. The deal included an $8 million signing bonus. 2008: $520,000, 2009: $1.25 million, 2010: $2.105 million, 2011: $3.75 million, 2012: $4.875 million, 2013: Free Agent

I wouldnt mind if Ice's contract was something like that both those last two years could be a problem if it doesnt work out.
