My thought is that's too damn much to pay for Kolb. But it all sort of depends on what the new CBA ends up being. I can't think our salary commitments at the moment are too high. Maybe the team gets Kolb and then spends a **** load of money on a WR/CB/DT/LG and goes for broke in the NFC West. I don't know.

No kidding. It's depressing coming here, or even reading any of the better Seahawks blogs out there. There is just nothing to really discuss. It's even a chore to listen to sports radio any more...all they seem to talk about now is [1] when will the NFL lockout end, [2] when will the NBA lockout end, and [3] OMG Derek Jeter's going to get 3000 hits he is the best player ever!!!!

My interest in either of those topics is pretty slim.

So the US women's World Cup team hasn't got you pumped up, eh?

I think a 1st and a 3rd for Kolb is too much, too. I think we could get an equal QB with our first rounder in 2012, and save us a third. Let Arizona take the risk and pay the ransom.

I'm more inclined to grab Palmer, if only because I think he'd cost us a whole lot less. They said he was just a 'game manager' after '09, then he threw for 4000 yards last year. He's played in 32 games the last two years, and while he'll make some mistakes, so did Hass; at least Palmer has a prolific arm to go with it.

I suppose I also wouldn't be upset with going with Hass/Whitehurst one more year and getting a top 5-6 pick. Let the new-lool OL solidify, build up the roster, then take a Matt Barkley in the first round.

Other than the final playing on a TV in the background while I was eating sushi yesterday, I didn't see any of it. I may enjoy watching the Sounders but my interest in soccer begins and ends there.
